The drawers are easy to shut and open however I found the textured plastic coatings a bit hard on my fingers.

The GE PGE29BYTFS Smart Refrigerator comes with the complete set of features you’d expect from a refrigerator in this price range with Wi-Fi and app support through GE’s SmartHQ software. The app is compatible with iOS and Android devices and lets you control your refrigerator from any place around the world. It also offers numerous options for customizing. It will also send you notifications when the door is left unlocked as well as when the fridge or freezer requires defrosting, and when the filter has to be changed.

It is nice if the GE PYE22PYNFS included Precise fill, an option available in a handful of other GE refrigerators that allows you to choose how many cups of water you’d like to dispense simultaneously. It does offer a countdown feature on the fridge display to display how much water have remaining, but that’s not as effective as Precise Fill.

This refrigerator was the highest-rated refrigerator in our Refrigerators test for several reasons. Its freezer temperatures remained constant at just above 0° Fahrenheit and never changed more than a fraction – this is crucial to avoid the risk of a freezer burn. The fridge section of the refrigerator also performed well. It reached the temperature it was set within a matter of hours, and maintained the temperature throughout our tests.

The LG LRFLC2706S is a great counter-depth refrigerator that packs plenty of storage into an extremely compact frame. It has a sleek, fingerprint-resistant stainless-steel finish and features thick handles that make them comfortable to grip. The fridge is built with a standard French door layout, with two rows of shelves that can be used to capture spills and a set crisper drawers. The top shelf on the right side can be folded in order to create more space for tall items. There’s also a full-width drawer for deli and an inside water dispenser.

The refrigerator comes with an ice maker making it easy to move the ice when needed. The freezer features thoughtful design elements, as well, such as sliding drawers that can help you to organize the place of items. It has a large bin to store frozen food items, and a separate bin for ice.

They have sunken handles on the front, which allow smaller people to pull them open from the bottom, however they’re not easy for taller people to guide closed without slamming them. It would have been better if they had a front-mounted handles.

The LG Counter-Depth MAX fridge is an excellent choice for those who want to combine the look of a French door refrigerator with an efficient design. Its capacity is higher than average for counter-depth models, and it cools evenly. It’s also less expensive than the top counter depth refrigerators that have an icemaker, which makes it an attractive choice.

Frigidaire Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

This Frigidaire French door refrigerator is a good option for those looking for a French-door fridge that won’t break the budget. It’s a basic refrigerator that might not be as appealing like some of its competitors, but it still has enough features to make it a an excellent option. Another feature that is worth mentioning is the “Chill Drawer” that sits above the two crisper bins. The drawer allows you to divert a portion of the fridge’s cooling power directly to this area, which means you can store foods that require extra attention. This feature is adjustable using a slider located outside the drawer. You can also set the general cooling settings for the entire fridge. I’ve noticed that the generic settings are more effective than the specific ones.

In my tests, I discovered that the temperatures in the refrigerator were fairly consistent across different areas of the refrigerator. The temperatures in the top, bottom and middle of the refrigerator did not differ significantly from 38 degrees. This is a great performance however it doesn’t rank among the Best french door fridge freezer in our ratings.

This fridge has a few other neat features, including a temperature-monitoring display that alerts you to fluctuations and provides a forecast for the day ahead. You can also pair this fridge with a smart thermometer to get more precise measurements of your fridge’s temperature.

The Frigidaire FGHB2866PF’s outside is made of stainless steel with a grey body which has a “smudge-proof” finish. It blocks streaks and fingerprints better than other stainless steel finishes I’ve tested.
