Hades 2 – Sign Up For a Playtest
Developer Supergiant Games’ 2020 roguelike Hades is getting a sequel. It’s an ambitious move that raises the stakes while offering a more insight into the politics of family.
Melinoe returns in an attempt to take down Chronos, the titan of time. On her route, she will encounter new gods, including the personifications of the light Apollo and the goddess of witchcraft Hecate, along with the deity of revenge Nemesis.
1. Hades 2 Technical Test
It’s worth signing up for a technical test if you are a fan of Supergiant and their roguelike 2020 Hades. The studio has announced it’s Early Access launch will be soon, and a playtest with a smaller number of people than the full 1.0 version will help iron any bugs out.
It’s simple to sign up by visiting the Steam page of the game, and then pressing the “request Access” button. There are limited places available, however, and not everyone who applies will be considered. The test’s technical component will let players explore the first area of Hades 2, with early-game characters, systems, and content. Those who complete the area will be “gently advised” to put aside and wait for the Early Access Version, which will be available in the near future.

She can also collect items from the crossroads camp to use in future runs, and unlock weapons, trinkets boons, pathways, and other tools as she travels.
The introduction of more open areas is a welcome addition. These regions provide numerous routes to explore each region, and an ever-changing setting to explore. Each region is an intriguing version of the Underworld and some are more accessible than others, each offering unique challenges that stand out from the usual fare of other roguelites.
Supergiant also tweaked the gameplay a bit in its early access build, reducing some of the grinding required to obtain certain upgrades and making it easier to move from one area to the next. There’s still much work to be completed before the game is released for full release, Oscarreys.top but the studio has made clear that it wants to make the most of player feedback and to continue to refine Hades 2 to a perfect state.
Supergiant is renowned for its ability to listen to its customers and resolve any issues that arise. 3. Hades 2 Beta
Hades was a roguelike that was like none other when it was released in 2018. The game was awarded multiple awards and is regarded as one of the greatest games ever created. With its deep story rooted in Greek mythology, tales of struggles between families, and Oscar Reys LGBTQ+ representation that feels organic and inclusive, it was no wonder it resonated with so many people. It came as no surprise to the fans when Supergiant announced that a sequel was in the works.
Seven years later, after the first release, Hades 2 is finally entering early access. While it doesn’t change much mechanically, the love and time that Supergiant invested in Hades 2 is clear from the start.
According to the Steam page for Hades 2, the game “brings back all the elements that made the original so memorable with the isometric perspective, clearing rooms, choosing boons and unleashing powerful attacks, the central world, with a variety of fully voice-acted characters to speak with and learn from, the ever-shifting Underworld, and more.”
In addition to these returning features, the technical test adds some new ones as well. You can unlock permanent upgrades for Melinoe and a brand new weapon. You can also train witchy companions, uncover mysteries at the Arcana Altar and gather reagents to boost your skills.
The most striking enhancement is likely Omega attacks that are a brand new way to power up your weapons and spells. By using these attacks, you can charge up your magick capacity and unleash devastating attacks with a huge area of impact. This is a new way to add an additional dimension to the battle of combat.
Hades 2 beta is available both on Steam and Epic Games Store. Supergiant has said that they will keep their fans updated as they work towards a 1.0 release in 2024. In the meantime, you can make a wishlist for the game on both platforms to be informed when it launches.
4. Hades 2 Release Date
After a successful technical test the roguelike dungeon-crawler Hades 2 has launched into early access on PC. The sequel to Supergiant Games follows Melinoe, the daughter of Zeus and Hades on a journey to defeat Chronos and save her father. Hades 2 promises all the fantastic mechanics of its award-winning predecessor, with an adapted tale that is rooted in Greek mythology, and the beginning of witchcraft.
Those looking to get their hands on the game can do so on both Steam and the Epic Games Store. Anyone who purchases the early access version will be granted access to the future versions of the game. Hades 2 will be released in its entirety at the end of 2024.
The roguelike won’t be set to be released until 2022, however the early access version of the game has already attracted players to their attention. A livestream that aired the technical test revealed some information regarding the game’s new characters and gameplay.
During the stream developers discussed plans to include more characters, regions, and challenges over the next few months. They also discussed how they’re aiming to make combat experience even more enjoyable by introducing more skills-based abilities.
Supergiant stated in its FAQ that the early-access version of Hades 2 will include “at at least the same number of levels, enemies and voiced characters as the finished version of Hades.” It’s important to remember however that the team expects development to continue until 2024’s close So a full 1.0 release could be a few months away.
Hades 2’s trailer shows Melinoe the Underworld princess, who is fighting the cool witch Hecate. Supergiant claims that Melinoe’s appearance and personality will be similar to Zagreus even while the character isn’t directly remake. The character is also based on a previously-existing character from Greek mythology that the studio adapted to fit the story of Hades 2.
