Unfortunately, like a whole lot of things in life, it is way too easy to get overwhelmed with all of the stuff you will need to learn to become successful marketing online. If you’re not careful you shall find yourself jumping from the latest “you beaut” product to the next and eventually find yourself burnt out with information overload and nothing other than a full hard drive of digital products to show for your efforts.
Here are my five online marketing tips for beginners.
Find a marketing product or system that interests you and stick with it. Do not worry most systems will produce some results. Cancel all of your e-mail subscriptions should they distract you through your work and even worse tempt you into trying another thing.
Take your time to learn your chosen marketing product or system as it shall be a great grounding for your future marketing ventures. Stick with it and do not go from one system to the next because you are not only a millionaire in 7 days or whatever the system promised in the sales letter. Short of a big lottery website win this rarely happens especially to beginners.
Don’t just read the manual or watch the videos but take action. Stop reading the manual or stop the video and do those steps you read about or watched prior to deciding to go on to the next phase. OK you website looks ugly or your new eBook has plenty of blank pages but remember you are not going to be a success overnight, so do not anticipate to be.
Write down what you do in order that you know what you did when something works then you can easily do it again. Your notes can even help work out where you went wrong and the way you can fix it. Not just that your notes are original content so can form the beginnings of a future ebook, articles or video. OK back to reality that dream can wait.
Create value in everything do by adding your ideas and original content. Step back and ask yourself would you read it or buy it. If somebody buys a product they will not like it if it’s just has a brand new title and shiny new digital cover and they have read it a dozen times before. This may to be acceptable for giveaway products but it creates more value should you have something unique to giveaway also.
