Space Key was developed in collaboration with a non-publicized artist and based on advanced carbon fiber composite materials that were sent to the International Space Station as research material, is a new project which was announced by Lamborghini.

The Space Key is a collection of five physical objects that unlocks a unique digital artwork by an unidentified artist. The “collectors’ piece” was developed in collaboration with NFTPRO(tm) and is limited to just five units. It is scheduled to be auctioned in the near future.
The heart of every Space Key is a block of advanced carbon fire composite material. It was sent to the International Space Station in 2019 as part of a research project. After returning to Earth the block was inscribed with a QR codes that connect to the digital element within the Space Key.
Each of the five Space Keys features a different moment that takes place at different times when the Lamborghini Ultimae takes off towards the stars. Over 600 million pixels make each of the five images that were taken by photographer Fabian Oefner.
Oefner utilized a balloon with a camera, which took each of the individual shots, which were then merged into the final image. The result is a picture that is out of this world. It captures the beauty of Earth and the futuristic, hyperrealistic picture of a car rising from the Earth. The Space Keys are going to be auctioned soon, but there isn’t a specific date or location yet.
