As its name suggests, GE’s Profile series is aimed at consumers who want to integrate cutting-edge features in their kitchens. But these flourishes don’t mask mediocre performance, especially in the refrigerator’s freezer and an ineffective temperature-controlled drawer. Since this refrigerator is more, I’d expect higher quality.

This fridge is a great choice, despite the small blip. It boasts a spacious freezer compartment, which is quite uncommon in counter-depth french door fridge plumbed water door fridges, and it can hold a decent amount of frozen foods compared to similar models.

Inside the fridge, there are 17 shelves and compartments. The refrigerator compartment is 18.5 cubic feet, which is standard for a fridge with a French door at this price. It comes with a decent size freezer in the left side. However it’s not the most spacious one I’ve seen.

The drawers come with temperature controls that allow you to set them to Meat, Beverage, or Deli settings. They’re easy to open and close, although I found their textured plastic coatings to be a little hard on the fingers.

The GE PGE29BYTFS Smart Refrigerator comes with all the features you would expect from a refrigerator within this price range. It has Wi-Fi, app support and GE’s SmartHQ Software. The app, which is available for iOS and Android devices, lets you control your fridge from anywhere in the world, and has a ton of customization options. It also alerts you when doors are left open, when the refrigerator or freezer needs defrosting and when it’s time to change the filter.

It would be nice if the GE PYE22PYNFS included Precise fill, an option available in a handful of other GE refrigerators that allows you to choose how many cups of water you’d like to dispense at a time. It does have a countdown feature on the display of the fridge to display how much water have remaining, but that’s not as useful as Precise Fill.

Bosch Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

The Bosch French-door Refrigerator is a stunning piece of equipment. It’s designed to appear like a seamless piece of your kitchen. The fridge uses fingerprint-resistant stainless steel, which is a great feature for busy households. It also boasts a veggie compartment to keep vegetables and fruits fresher longer and has dual compressors to ensure the best french door fridge with water and ice dispenser food preservation. The ice maker we tested is one of the most efficient and produces the shape of a pyramid using only water. This refrigerator is a great choice for single household or kitchenettes who want a sleek design and top-of-the-line food preservation.

This fridge was rated as the most efficient in our Refrigerators Test for a variety of reasons. LG Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

The LG LRFLC2706S is a great counter-depth refrigerator that packs a lot of storage in the frame’s compact size. It has a sleek, fingerprint-resistant stainless-steel finish and features thick handles that make them comfortable to grip. Inside, the fridge has the standard French-door layout, with gallon-sized bins for the doors on each door, two rows of shelves for spill-capture, and a set of sleeker drawers. The top shelf to the right can be folded down to make space for taller items. There’s also a full-width storage drawer for food items and an internal water dispenser.

One of the great features of this refrigerator is that the ice maker is in the freezer, which makes it easy to move frozen ice to the fridge to be used when it is required. The freezer is designed with thoughtful elements, for instance, sliding drawers to help you better organize the position of your items. It also has a huge bin that holds plenty of frozen food and an additional storage bin for ice.

Smart InstaView panel is another cool feature of the refrigerator. You can control the temperature, lighting and other aspects of your fridge using your smartphone. It’s a simple method to keep track of your refrigerator and manage it, especially when you’re away from home.

The Smart InstaView feature is neat, but it doesn’t necessarily improve the efficiency of the fridge. In fact, it took longer to defrost and chill food in this refrigerator than other refrigerators we test. This is likely due to its greater capacity.

Another issue with the door of this refrigerator. They have sunken handles at the front, which allows shorter people to easily pull them open from the bottom, however they’re difficult for taller people to steer shut without slamming them. It would have been more effective to have front-mounted handles.

The LG Counter-Depth MAX fridge is an excellent option for those looking to combine the aesthetics of a French-door refrigerator with an efficient design. Its capacity is higher than average for a counter-depth model and it cools well and has a nice layout. It’s also a bit cheaper than the most expensive counter depth refrigerators that have an ice maker, making it an attractive choice.

This Frigidaire French door refrigerator is a good option for those looking for a French-door refrigerator that doesn’t cost a lot of budget. It’s a basic refrigerator that might not be as appealing like some of its competitors however it has enough features to make it a an excellent option. Its most notable feature is the adjustable temperature drawer that helps keep food items like meat and vegetables fresher for longer. It also has a large water dispenser and a decent Ice machine that is fast.

The “Chill Drawer”, which is located over the two crisper bins, is a nice feature. The drawer allows you to divert part of the refrigerator’s cooling power directly into this area, which means you can store foods that require extra attention. This feature can be adjusted by using a slider on the outside of the drawer. You can also alter the general cooling settings for the entire fridge. I’ve found that the generic settings work better than the specific ones.

During my tests, the refrigerator’s temperatures were fairly constant across the different areas of the fridge. The temperatures in the top and bottom of the fridge did not vary significantly from 38 degrees, and the middle of the fridge was within one degree of 36. This is a great performance however it doesn’t rank among the best in our ratings.

This fridge has a few other neat features, including a temperature-monitoring display that alerts you to fluctuations and provides a forecast for the day ahead. This fridge can be connected with a smart thermostat to obtain more precise readings of the internal temperature of your fridge.

The exterior of the Frigidaire is made from gray-bodied stainless with a “smudge proof” finish. It is capable of removing streaks and fingerprints even when compared to the shiny stainless steel finishes on other appliances I’ve tested.
