Seating

A good quality ATP will have excellent suspension, pneumatic tyres as well as a padded handle to ensure your convenience. It should be able to accommodate a carrycot or a car seat, meaning you can use it right from birth.

The MFM reviewers noted that the 3-wheeler frames didn’t fit through their home doors or car boot. If you’re worried about space, make sure you check the dimensions of the buggy once it is folded prior to purchasing.

PU tyres can be seen on more pushchairs than air-filled tyres, yet they are still just as sturdy. PU tires are easily distinguished by their matte finish and supple feel. They also slide across smooth and tidy surfaces.

If you run your hand over the tyres, then you can tell if they’re rubber or PU. If it feels like it is sliding then it’s a rubber or PU. You can also check that your buggy is fitted with PU tyres by sliding the tyres on flat, clean surfaces They’ll roll easily and should fit comfortably in their wheel hubs.

Foam tyres can handle the rough terrain of high-performance buggies. The drawback is that the foam could shrink and make your buggy appear less stable because it loses its springy feel. Additionally, these tyres may often be noisy as they generate a lot of noise when you turn and navigate your way through town.
