Albums
Toto’s discography includes 13 studio albums and four live albums. There are also compilations. Toto has released original music as well as collaborated with other artists on soundtracks and films. The group has won multiple Grammy Awards.
Before Toto was formed the members of the group performed session work for other musicians. Drummer Jeff Porcaro, bassist David Hungate, and keyboardist David Paich (the son of session drummer Marty Paich and brother of guitarist Joe Porcaro) played on Boz Scaggs 1975 album Silk Degrees. The group’s collaboration led to formation of Toto in the year 1976.
Toto’s third album, Turn Back, marked a departure from the more progressive sound of their previous albums, and was criticised for the absence of hit singles.
