Our tester found the auto-lock a bit difficult to understand, and also because the handlebar doesn’t lock in place when you push it and it landed on her leg when she used it. She also thought the handlebar was on the short side. This is especially true when a large change bag hangs from it.

In contrast to other travel buggies that are lightweight, this doesn’t skimp on features. It’s one of the most feature-packed double strollers that are available. The four tires made of rubber are great for pavements as well as urban terrain. However, they’re not designed for off-roading. They had a hard time with gravel and long grass and there was not enough clearance between the wheel bracket and wheel and mud sank easily. But, our tester still loved the buggy and did climb some pretty dirt hills.

It’s a heavier tandem buggy but it’s very easy to use and steer, especially on smooth roads. It is stable in double and single mode, and also on sloped ground. It is not as easy to use on public transport since it requires two hands to hold the handlebar. It’s also quite heavy and will not fit in the standard car boot for families with the seat in place, but this is a problem that can be overcome by cautious planning. iCandy has included a footmuff and changing bag in the price, making this an excellent value for new parents.

Our test participants found that the Nipper Double is incredibly easy to navigate, even on bumpy terrain or when turning on the middle of a busy road. They were also awed by the fact that both seats recline independently, meaning they can be adjusted to fit your individual preferences – perfect for napping.

The hoods were also easy to adjust for wind or sun protection. Our testers did discover however that they didn’t provide an enormous amount of coverage as something like the Baby Jogger City Mini hoods and it’s recommended to bring a rain jacket just in case.

Overall, our testers were impressed with the Nipper double buggy with carrycot‘s capacity to allow them to take their twin daughters Sydney and Lyla to all sorts of adventures. From spotting wildlife in a forest to rushing to the park to play with their friends they were thrilled. They were also impressed by how cozy and spacious the two seats are, with plenty of room for toddlers growing to stretch out in. Our testers did note that the absence of parent-facing seating and the inability to use car seats in the buggy was a disadvantage, and they would like to have more storage space to store shopping items and other accessories.
