Albums

The discography of American rock band Toto includes 13 studio albums, 4 live albums, as well as numerous compilations. Toto has released original music and collaborated with other artists on soundtracks and films. Toto has won numerous Grammy Awards.

Before the formation of Toto, band members did sessions for other musicians. David Paich, the son of session drummer Marty Paich, and Jeff Porcaro (the brother of guitarist Joe Porcaro and drummer Jeff Porcaro) all played on Boz Scaggs’ 1975 album Silk Degrees. Toto was formed in the year 1976 in the wake of the collaboration.

Shem von Schröck replaced Leland Sklar as drummer during the tour in support of the 40 Trips Around the Sun album. In 2017, Toto released a double-CD live album titled Falling in Between, which included live recordings from the tour and an interview with the group.

Drummer David Hungate also left the band following the tour. Leland Sklar was his replacement.

The TOTO Museum is a futuristic building that has several exhibition rooms dedicated to presenting the story of the company and its most innovative products. The exhibits at the museum include toilets and faucets as well as tableware that have contributed to the growth of TOTO over the past half century. Toto has produced a number of music videos. The band has also released several compilation videos and DVDs. The most popular video of the band is “Africa” which has over one billion views. The video is set in a library and shows the group performing on top of a stack of books about Africa.
